2025 Summary and 2026 Goals

 

I met all my new classmates and made new friends Lauren, Ava, Emma and Ivana. I did swimming sports and athletics. I learnt in that term way more than what I learnt in a year at my old school. Especially in math. I really enjoyed my new teacher. And overall it was a good term. In the first term we did woodwork and art. In the woodwork we made a desk organizer and in art we made self portraits which was ok. 

 

 In the second term we did drama and music. 

 

 We went to koru games, and we stayed at Glenroy. I had a room with Isla, Zoe and Alice. I was in the netball group. We placed 20th out of 30 something. Also netball had started and I was in the white team. We made it to the semi finals and then lost to the blue team. We also started term 3 writing to improve our writing. And in term 3 we did text styles and sport which was fun and I made a bag. 

 

Essie, my friend from old school, joined. We are going to do this sleepover when the class stays at school. And we’ll do an activity day and a hapu sports day. I have improved in my writing and my reading from term 1. In this term we did cooking and te reo which are fun and yummy. 

 

For 2026

To all my grades to be above average. To make new friends. To make it into netball again for koru games.

So on Monday Mr Kruger  came in to show us how to download a video and make a video to edublogs as well as tell us about fake pictures, videos, tiktok and many more. He also told us to make our own fake video. So I did!

Invisible Butterflies!🦋🎨

So today, it was Miss Lang’s birthday, (she got this very pretty cake as well as heaps of yummy presents), anyway she wanted to do art the whole morning. We made Invisible Butterflies! They are just paper but you make them blend into their surroundings. It took some of us a long to colour them in! I’ll show you some pictures!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I’m very proud of mine one. It’s on Meia’s lighthouse and took very long to do! I wished I used paint but we weren’t allowed to, cause it’s kinda visible but I like it!

TWIN PICS!!!

So this past days we have been doing this image app called Twin Pics, it was made by this person called Chris Sev. It an app that you have to only use 100 words to describe a certain picture. (They change each day).

Yesterday I made a graffitiart lobster using these words: (Sadly I lost the picture!).

Today I used these words to make a technology snake:

Rainbow technology snake, in desert, big blue and purple eyes, head apart from body, big cactuses.

This was the one I made, I think I should have put cute in the sentuce cause well this thing looks like a monster!

I am a eleven years old!!!! 🥳 🎂

As the car sped through the thick wisps of fog, I sighed. I wouldn’t want to spend my birthday in cloudy, wet and miserable days. Well I guess I jinxed it! Sadly all the days I was Christchurch were all cloudy. Yes I had came to christchurch for my birthday, I had a whole list of things to do! Orana park, Timezone, Qe ll pool, Shopping in Kmart and the new library! We arrived in Christchurch on Sunday and were leaving on Wednesday. On Sunday we just settled into our house, it was two stories with a spa! It was our friends house, they where in Tekapo skiing and lended us there house.

On Monday we went to the Qe ll swimming pool to have a swim, of course! I spent my time in the lazy river playing tag with other kids. I had started to get a sore throat too. I thought nothing of it but I would be soon. When we got out of the pool, it had started. I got a cold! Right before my birthday which was on Tuesday. We went back to the house and just cruised at home. I read my book, well my brother played with his lego, it was the quiet before the storm. I went to bed socks on my feet and my oddie on. It was horrible, I had a horrible fever I couldn’t get to sleep. I had nightmares and it was just so horrible.

I woke up at 4am and went to my parents and they said happy birthday and I feel asleep there. I woke up and opened presents. I got lego, soaps, a box of chocolates. Mum had left the rest of my presents at home. We went shopping at Kmart. And I brought lots of things, a book, some squishes, slime, a really pretty jersey and some other things. We drove the car to the pharmacy to get some palmol since I was sick and went home. We spent the day at home but went to countdown to get a cake! I ate the cake with my cousins and aunty at the house. It was soooo delicious! The next day was Wednesday the day we were leaving. Mum would go car shopping. So Mum and Dad went off looking at cars, while me and Logan sat in the car watching videos on Mum’s phone. We where gonna go to Orana park but I wasn’t feeling up to it. Fact: Orana park may close down 🙁 , its having facincal problems! So sad. Yeah I was a bit bummed out. While we were going home we emerged from the miserable fog into the warm, bright light, it was so cool! 

Yeah that’s all. It’s a very long piece of writing.

Have you ever been sick on your Birthday?

I walked through POUNAMU PATHWAY!!! 🟢🪨

On Wednesday we went to the new POUNAMU PATHWAY! Year 6s, 5s and 4s all were going up in parents cars. We would also bring a booklet that we had to draw and write notes in, when we go through the Pounamu Pathway. I went up in my mum’s car with my brother, (Logan), my friend, (Zoe, and my brother’s classmate, (Baou).  The boys were screaming goats and annoying me and Zoe on the way there and even on the way back!

 

Anyway let’s get to the real reason I posted this. We got to a very fashionable carpark and then the entrance was stunning! As we walked through the gates to go inside I was so flabbergasted. It was lit up by projectors and it was dark and just so cool. It was all black but with patterns and lights everywhere and there where exhibits. It was a bit smaller than I thought it would be but it was still big.

 

There was a room that had a chief in it, his name was Tuhuru, he was the chief of Ngai Tahu Poutini. There also was a room about the birthing of the West Coast. The art of it is just out of this world! And then there is the loud/scary room, (There’s so many names for it), and that’s the room of the wars. The wars are about when Raureka, (part of the Ngati Wairangi Tribe) went over the Southern Alps to find more people. She went with her dog and her toki, (a maori tool made out of pounamu). She found a Ngai Tahu hunting party and saw them using stone tools, she showed her sharpness by chopping a cabbage tree. They asked for some pounamu so they started a trade up. Pounamu for food. Then one day the chief of Ngai Tahu thought, “Why are we trading lets just go and take over the pounamu for ourselves!”. And well that’s how the wars started. The seats vibrated and everything was lighting up blood red to deep green. There was a room where you could watch a predictor of maori living a day. There so much more but this is a lot of writing and so I’m gonna stop here!

Extraordinary, Amazing, Wonderful, NETBALL!!! 🏐

On Saturday I had to get ready for netball! I love netball and I was versing the other team the Kaniere Flames, (We are the Kaniere Ferns), I was so ready to bet em! Sadly one of our best players was not gonna be there. When we arrived we started to practice and warm up for the game. Finally we finished and we were ready to vers them. At the start of the game the Kaniere Flames were getting goals left, right and centre. Sadly I was a A, (As had to wait until the ball would come to them so we could shoot the ball in the hoop to get a goal). And the ball was always on the other side of the court, the court that we couldn’t go on. At halftime I was put on as a D, (Ds have to defend the rival teams As, so that they won’t shoot). This half was the half when we started to shine. We finally got some goals, 4 goals to be precise. Before we new it the game ended, and the points were 4-10, us having 4 and the Flames having 10. I was happy that we got a least 4 and it was fun and I can’t wait until we play again. Evelyn got player of the day, (she definitely deserved it, you should of seen her!). I also got a chocolate bar, so I guess I got the second player of the day.

Unseen Depths 2!!!!!!

Well you know the first one I did about the other two paragraphs of the story well I kinda wanna make it have three parts, so this is the second one, it’s a bit shorter but I’m really pleased with it. Here it is!

Paragraph – 3.

Through the sunlit roof of the sea people started diving down in scuba gear, the frantically dived down with knifes and started to cut the rope, finally after ages of bubbles and kinfies slipping in out of their hands it broke free. In a flurry of bubbles and sand the whales emerged from it imprisonment and swam away, leaving the humans in shock and in amazement.

So that’s it! It’s a bit smaller but it’s good isn’t it? (That’s a lot of It’s!) So the next Unseen Depths will be about the summary and introduction. Bye bye! 👋

I’m Under the Sea!! 🌊🪼

So this past week our whole class has been making stories. It is about the underwater and it’s not really a story, cause you have to write about stuff around and like try not to add you in it? If that makes sense? We had to make this burger planning, where there was the introduction, then 3 paragraphs, and finally the summary.

I have done 2 paragraphs so far I’ll show you

 

Paragraph – 1. 

As I swam through all the bubbles a rainbow blur emerged, and then it unblurred  into a wonderful, beautiful coral reef. All types of colours and shapes emerged, it was lively and amazing. Schools of colourful fish swam past, and clown fish swam in and out of the anemone, there were with fish with different patterns and they searched the sea floor. It was draped with seaweed and kelp. Suddenly a big blue thing went past, it was a baby whale, it was cute and had sea urchin all over it. Little fishes swam around it, plucking their little beaks at the tiny whale. The whale moved on with it’s little fishy friends and behind it was the end of the magical reef. And then it was a deep dark drop.

 

Paragraph – 2.

I floated down the massive, dark drop, I felt that this place was grim and gloomy, as I got closer I could see bits of dead coral everywhere and emerged from the darkness was a old wooden, broken ship. The sails were ripped and shredded, massive rocks came out of the ground and had pierced the heart of the ship. Everything was dark and dead, nothing of life lived here. I swam on and it lightened up. As I swam into the light I saw a whale imprisoned in a fishing net, it was caught and trapped and it was squirming around, spreading bubbles and sand everywhere, suddenly something came in the distant.
